Gold Bluff Beach, CA. October, 2011.

During my October, 2011, northern California photography trip, my mentor and friend, Keith Walklet, took us to Gold Bluff Beach on the Pacific coast. I never expected to find a magnificent 12 point bull elk on the beach less than 100 yards from the ocean, but he was there, seemingly on his own - we did not see any others anywhere near. I was about 100 feet from the bull for this picture, and hoped that he did not take any further interest in me!
