Perito Moreno Glacier SMP-2583

Perito Moreno Glacier SMP-2583

The Perito Moreno glacier is another stunningly beautiful location in Argentina.

This is one of only three Patagonian glaciers that is growing. The glacier covers an area of 97 square miles, and is 19 miles long.

The face of the glacier is 3 miles wide, with an average height of 240 ft above the surface of the water of Lake Argentino, in Argentina. It has a total ice depth of 558 ft.

This photograph is part of the upper secton of the face of the glacier. The shades of blue in the ice were just fascinating.
